Having lunch in antique malls can have it's benefits. The food is usually pretty good, it's quiet, and once in a while they change out the tables because one sold. The latest one to show up at Miss Minnie's Cafe in the 135 Antique Mall is this little gem. A 1960's era cherry blossom styled laminated table.

Seeing Red
I've been playing around with the Molome software on my Nokia N8. It's one of the better photo editing software options for the phone that I've found. The only thing I wish is that you could import existing photos instead of having to always use the app itself for taking the picture that you want to edit.
All of these had the red filter applied to them.

Secret Texts
Just how secret is a secret society when you can walk into a thrift store or used book store and find, with a little bit of hunting, many of their ritual books? They're still somewhat secret, that's for sure. If you don't know the code, then you don't know the rites.
This particular example is from King Solomon and His Followers; A Valuable Aid to the Memory, 1945 Edition by J. A. Gavitt

Lucky Number
Lucky number 13, standing proud, signalling to all that my meal should be set right where it's sitting.

Caution - It's Couture!
Jil Sander has always had some bold fashion designs, but this one really takes the cake for me. I'm all for bold colors and making statements, but somehow a dress that's caution orange with accents that look like painter's tape is just a little too much.

I Feel So Pretty
Barbie had a rough life.
She had become tired of the day in and day out routine of being disfigured and made up into someone else's idea of beauty, so she packed up and left her home in search of a better life. Now she spends her days, watching with blood-shot eyes, hoping the right one will come along and help clean her up.

Locked Up Tight
A rusted gate, a brightly colored lock, and dead leaves on a vine that hasn't quite realized that it's springtime add up to an interesting photo.
The other interesting bit is that the gate is covering a cement wall. It's very important to keep the gate locked in case someone wants to run directly into the wall.

A Timeless 501
We're not talking Levi's here, just the street number of a building. I like the repaired number on the wooden plaque on the field of old red brick. There's a certain timelessness to it.

Nokia Concept Phones
Nokia keeps trying to push the bounds of design and function. Sometimes it works out well, like the stainless steel 8800 with precision ball bearings in it's slide. Other times it falls a little short, like the 3650 with it's rotary-esque keypad (Oh to add on a functional rotary dial, but I digress). Nokia has released five more potential designs for future prototyping recently at their Nseries Blog. Some are a little lacking in visual design until you read a little more and see that the entire phone is to be built with recycled materials. These three though stand out in my mind for some interesting design.
The Dragonfly
A great homage to the insect world, the Dragonfly mimics it's real life counterpart with a prominent row of keys in the middle. I could also see it's futuristic design cropping up with Star Trek fans at a local sci-fi convention...
The Scentsory Concept
I'll skip over the Smell-O-Vision capabilities here. However, if they could produce a working prototype of an origami style folding phone I'd be really impressed.
The Kinetic Concept
Sleek, smooth, and very minimalist, the kinetic oozes sex appeal. Adding to that appeal is the little electromagnet in the base which shifts the phone's center of gravity allowing it to stand up on it's own when someone calls. It's definitely an attention getter.

The Lawn of Life
Friends may be the flowers in the garden of life, but Snoopy knew that work was the crab grass in the lawn of life.
